Top Ten Reason I Can Not Concentrate on My Study at Home
No.10 Fashion Magazines
I buy a fashion magazine named “SWEET” every month. And shapely figure fashion models, and the current cute clothes and shoes on the magazine make me happy. When I read magazines, I just loose track of time.
No.9 Telephone Call
I usually spend more than 30 minutes on the phone to my sister, because there are 2 reasons. The first, the cost is free to call my sister thanks to family plan by docomo. The other is that I can confide on matters big and small to my sister, for example about campus life, our parents, and
a boyfriend.
No.8 Nails
I like to watch my beautifully-manicured nails, so if I can not paint my nails well, I take nails varnish all off and start again. It takes a lot of time.
No.7 Bookshelf
My bookshelf is full of handouts, textbooks, notebooks, and comics. When I try to start studying, I can not find the a handout or a text, so first, I begin with filing a pile of papers. Averagely, it takes 4 hours.
No.6 Photo Albums
After finishing cleanup my bookshelf, I want to organize a lot of digital photos on my computer. I make appropriate folders and move photos to a folder one by one. And I reminisce about the past.
No.5 Cleanup
To concentrate on my study, it is really important for me to make immaculately clean environment. I sweep a room and clean the floor with a wet mop.
No.4 Cooking
I am not good at cooking very well, and I do not like it very much. But, I do not know why, I want to cook before studying. I search a recipe and go supermarket to get all the ingredients. Then I cook with time and care.
No.3 Television
At the time when I want to study, there are interesting TV programs, so I watch that from start to finish.
No.2 Mixi
“Mixi” is the name of a popular social net working site like Facebook. I can post a blog, and see my friend’s blogs, and make some comments to it. Also, there game application and photo albums, so I access this site many times on my free time at home.
No.1 Lovely Bed
I bought my bedclothes at Francfranc which is popular with women and men in their 20s as a fancy interior shop. At home, I always hear my bed calling me,
“Come here Tomoko, why not take a break?”
Then I stop studying, and I take a happy nappy. That is why I am always buried in a lot of homework.

A TripAdviser, Baba.
Please check my review on TripAdviser!
I really recommend you to go Nagaoka on August 2nd or 3rd, because there is an amazing fireworks event called Nagaoka Fireworks Festival which is held in Shinano Riverside. You can go there 20 minutes walk from JR Nagaoka Sta. Last year, Nagaoka Fireworks Festival 2009, more than 800,000 people came to enjoy about 20,000 beautiful fireworks in 2 days. Each firework is using funds donated by private citizens and companies, and they put a lot of feelings into a firework. So, that is not only beautiful, but also impressive. It’s hard to describe by words alone how good it is, so please witness with your own eyes.
Although the event will be starting at 7:30pm, around the 5pm, the place will be already full. So, please remember go earlier on to book your places, and you will be able to sit down and enjoy the festival. Have a nice summer vacation with wonderful Japanese fireworks!

For Others
I belong to SEEDs-india Japan 2010, which 17-member group. Last spring vacation, we went to India for 17 days, and we visited orphan home and public hospital as a study tour. It was very great oppotunity for me to understand the poverty. We were taken into care by Tomas Mathew who was our host father. And we’d remained in contact with each other.
From June 21 to today’s lunch time, we had run a fund drive for nurse school tuition of Indian children, our friends. Thanks to pure-hearted Ferris students, we could hit the our find raising target. Thank you very much for your donation. I’m really happy to feel students kindness.
To become a Dekijo

Recentry, I try to cook every 3 meals by my self to save money, to keep healty diet, and to practice cooking.
The biggest reason why I cook is that I want to be a "Dekijo" it means a woman who is able to everything well such as job, house chores, and studying.
In the future I really want to be an such a woman and get a handsom-looking rich man as a husband.

Movie review

"Kiki' s deliver service" is the 5th film that Hayao Miyazaki has directed. Mr. Miyazaki is one of the Japanese greatest animation director. The film is based on a bestselling Japanese children's book of same name written by Eiko Kakuno. The main character Kiki is a little "witch", but there are no negative images of it like a curse and evil. The film focus on independence and growth of a girl, and a sensitive portrait of her daily life. And this is the most profitable film in 1989 in Japan.
Kiki, a daughter of a human father and a witch mother leaves a house with talking cat Gigi under a full moon as a witch-training journey when she reaches her 13 birthday. Then she rooms at a bakery's house in seaside town. Meanwhile, she opens a deliver service by taking advantage of her magical power for flight using a broom. Sometimes she feels down about her tough work, but she draws her inspiration from Usutora who is an art student, and get her strength back. Then one day, her friend Tombo hangs in midair from airplane, and Kiki fly out of the door to help him...
When I was 10 years old, I saw the movie for the first time. At that time I was just excited beautiful Kiki's flying scenes. And now I'm 20 years, I throw a new look at the movie, I am deeply touched by the story of a little girl Kiki who are struggling to live her own life. Her lovely smile always makes me happy. I am a big Kiki's fan now and forever.
Please check my movie review on IMDb!
Have a good day:)
